PARIS Volley dictated the pace of the game right from the start and deservedly won this game; the home side surged back in the third set to bring it home but that was all the local heroes could achieve in this match.
“We were a little nervous especially in the first set” said Michal Krisko, “but starting with the second set we could pressure the French players with our good serve.”
The atmosphere in the stadium was just great with 1,800 fans in attendance to support the home heroes.
“The French team was better today but I think we had our chances” said home mentor Jan Svoboda. “After we seized the third set I think the match was quite even and this is not bad since they are the reigning national champions in France. However, my players are not that experienced and our opponents played better in the final section of the match.”
One of the best players in the game, PARIS Volley middle-blocker Ardo Kreek said:
“It was quite a tough match but in the end we made fewer mistakes than our opponents and we won. We are happy that we can travel back home with three points from this game”.
