As it looks for now, several French volleyball clubs won’t compete in next season’s top leagues after failing financial checks.
The Commission for Assistance and Control of Professional Clubs (CACCP) reviewed the 2024/2025 financials and found major issues in some teams’ budgets. As a result, they’ve denied league access for 2025/2026 to:
- Cannes (Marmara SpikeLigue M)
- Bordeaux, Cannes, Nantes, Venelles (Saforelle PowerSix W)
Clubs have seven days to appeal. Neptunes Nantes had already confirmed it would withdraw from competition, Saint-Dié and Rennes were approved to move up, while Quimper is officially relegated.
The league is also reviewing wildcard entries. This statement released today confirms a major shake-up in French volleyball just before the start of the new season.
