Another French player has spoken about the "Alexander Markin case"...

Earvin Ngapeth has already given his opinion on this subject, while his teammate from the French National Team Antonin Rouzeir is even more angry because of the doping scandal of Alexander Markin.

Recall that France lost the final game at the European Olympic Qualifier against Russia, and therefore missed the opportunity to clinch a ticket for Rio… That is why many French players got very upset when they found out that Markin was playing that tournament with illegal substances in his blood.

“For me, it would be logical that the FIVB punish the entire Russian team. Because, Markin made a lot more than making just a couple of blocks. He was a player that made difference in that game. He came in at the end of the first set and scored 17 points! Russia should be disqualified,” stated Antonin Rouzeir and then added:

“It would be a bit odd for us to qualify for the Olympic Games on this way, but on the other hand now it looks like that someone has stolen a ticket for Rio. We played 5 games in 5 days, strugling with the fatigue along the way, because we did not have a day off. The rules are clear and no one has the right to break them. Otherwise, we will just promote this ugly side of sport,” concluded Rouzier in the interview for sportowefakty.wp.pl.

If Russia get disqualified from the Olympic Games, then France will receive a ticket for Rio, without having to play the World Qualifying Tournament.
