Berlin Recycling Volleys prevailed in the German classic against VfB Friedrichshafen valid for the quarterfinals of the 2019 national cup.

Berlin kicked out Friedrichshafen of the 2019 DVV-Pokal Männer and prevented them to defend the trophy which they won a year ago. The team from the German capital swept rivals on the road in the “der Klassiker” of the quarterfinals of the competition.

Friedrichshafen had a real chance only in the third set in which they were up three points (10-7): 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-22). The Frenchman Samuele Tuia top-scored for Berlin with 16 points. Romanian international Rares Balean chipped in with 12 points for “Häfler”.
