GERMAN CUP M: Der Klassiker in quarterfinals – Berlin kick out Friedrichshafen

Berlin Recycling Volleys prevailed in the German classic against VfB Friedrichshafen valid for the quarterfinals of the 2019 national cup.

Berlin kicked out Friedrichshafen of the 2019 DVV-Pokal Männer and prevented them to defend the trophy which they won a year ago. The team from the German capital swept rivals on the road in the “der Klassiker” of the quarterfinals of the competition.

Friedrichshafen had a real chance only in the third set in which they were up three points (10-7): 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-22). The Frenchman Samuele Tuia top-scored for Berlin with 16 points. Romanian international Rares Balean chipped in with 12 points for “Häfler”.

VfB Friedrichshafen – Berlin Recycling Volleys 0-3 (20-25, 21-25, 22-25)
