Markus Steuerwald has extended his contract with Friedrichshafen for another year. The 31-year-old player will thus compete for the most titled German Championship side for the ninth season.

Interestingly, the 2012 London Olympics Best Libero not only started his professional career in Friedrichshafen but he also won the most prestigious continental club competition that season – the 2007 CEV Champions League.

In between two mandates with the “Häfler”, Steuerwald played for France’s Paris (2010 to 2016) and these two clubs were the only ones whose jerseys he has worn during his career, so far.
