Dresdner SC shocked defending champions Allianz MTV Stuttgart with a 3:1 victory in the decisive third playoff semifinal match. After a tight 3:2 home win on Saturday, the team, led by coach Alexander Waibl, clinched the series 2:1 and advanced to the Volleyball Bundesliga final for the first time since 2021.
Their gritty comeback in the third set, overturning a 10:17 deficit, proved pivotal. MVP Marta Levinska led with 19 points, while Julie Lengweiler and Lorena Lorber Fijok added 11 each. The win also secures a spot in next season’s Champions League.
