Aleksandar Atanasijević, the former Serbian national team member, has signed a contract with Greek club Olympiacos. The 32-year-old player, who recently won the Chinese league with Shanghai Bright, is excited about his new chapter in Greece.
In his first comments since joining Olympiacos, Atanasijević expressed his enthusiasm for the move. “I feel fantastic! After a long season with both my club and the national team, I’m thrilled to start training again. Joining Olympiacos, the biggest club in Greece and one of the top teams in Europe across all sports, aligns perfectly with my personal goals. I am eager to play in front of their fans and experience the club’s atmosphere,” said Atanasijević.
The Serbian aopposite, who retired from international duty following the Paris Olympics, aims to add more trophies to his illustrious career. His journey has included stints with top European clubs, including Perugia in Italy and Skra Belchatow in Poland, where he has accumulated numerous individual and team honors.
Atanasijević’s move to Olympiacos marks a new phase in his career, and he looks forward to contributing to the club’s success on the court.
