Olympiacos ONEΧ has stormed into the Greek Volleyball League finals with a decisive 3-0 win over AO Milon Neas Smyrnis, clinching the semifinal series 3-2. The dominant performance was powered by Serbian star Aleksandar Atanasijević, who earned MVP honors.
With this victory, Olympiacos heads to the finals to face long-time rivals Panathinaikos. The series will begin on April 23 at the Mets Gymnasium.
The Piraeus club showed superiority in all areas—attack, blocking, and serving—leaving Milon with little room to respond. Despite a valiant 19-point effort from Aléxandros Nanópoulos, Milon couldn’t match Olympiacos’ intensity and fell short in straight sets (25-17, 25-17, 25-21).
Olympiacos aims to capture its fourth domestic title of the season, having already secured the League Cup, Greek Cup, and Super Cup. The final series will be a best-of-five battle, adding another epic chapter to the eternal derby.
