Panathinaikos recovered from a first-set loss to defeat ZAON 3-1, moving one win away from the Women’s Volley League championship.

Panathinaikos dropped the opener but responded with dominant play the rest of the way to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five finals series.
Haylie Bennett scored 23 points, including six aces, to lead Panathinaikos. Micaya White added 15 points and Monika Lampkovska had 13.
Elpida Tikmanidou led ZAON with 15 points, while Lorenne Teixeira finished with 14.
Panathinaikos can clinch its 27th league title in Game 3 on Thursday at Mets Hall.
