Panathinaikos announced the release of 11 volleyball players from their men’s and women’s squads, with Greece national team captain Olga Strantzali headlining the departures.
The Greek powerhouse confirmed that three players will leave the men’s volleyball team. Those departing are libero Grigóris Kontostáthis, middle blocker Filip Savovski and outside hitter Spyridon Bakodímos.
On the women’s side, eight players from the current roster are set to exit the club. The list includes middle blockers Martina Samadan, Eiríni Chatziefstratiádou and Afroditi Giota, opposite hitters Hailey Bennett and Angela Papa, outside hitters Manolína Konstantínou and Olga Strantzali, as well as setter Evagelía Táni.
In an official statement, Panathinaikos confirmed the termination of cooperation with the players across their volleyball departments.
