ITA M: Defending champs survive the game vs. Verona!

The reigning champions Perugia had a very difficult game for the end of 2018, in which they managed to prevail over Verona.

Wilfredo Leon (27 points), Aleksandar Atanasijevic (22 points) and Filippo Lanza (16 points) were the players who created a comeback against Verona as they were trailing 2-1.

However, after a good display in the last two sets, they won the game and ended the year in a victorious way.

In Verona, Matey Kaziyski was the best scorer with 19 points, while Stephen Boyer scored 17 and Sebastian Sole added 15.

This game proved that Verona will be also one of the candidates for the Scudetto.

Lube Civitanova and Modena have also scored the victories to finish this year in a successful way. Lube downed Ravenna in straight sets. Two Cuban players Juantorena and Leal were the top scorers with 14 points each, Sokolov contributed with 13.

The 21-year old player of Modena has successfully replaced Ivan Zaytsev, who is out due to an injury, scoring 17 points, which was the best scoring display in this game.
