Modena had to do something but I don’t think this will do much to help them in this position or give them the long term boost they need in this position. He is not much better than Bartosz Bednorz who was playing well.
They need a Elite player OH there next year

Re: @Suisse
I agree with you. How he receive and attack is the difference. Anyway, Modena will not win any medal.

Tillie won’t help at all. The problems for Modena started when Christenson got injured. Missing one great setter along with one great outside hitter is too deep hole to compete with Perugia, Trentino, and Lube. Modena will be happy if they get 4th this year. If they want to compete with the best next year, they will need one 1st class outside hitter. Maybe Sander or Anderson.

Being the best receiving team in the superlega and then blaming their failure at reception seems iffy to me. Most likely they just want to buy someone for the sake of buying a new player. I don’t think that Tillie will have great deal in Modena. Unless they are using 2 receivers to free up one extra spiker, I don’t see how Tillie can strength the roster. Even with great defensive and reception skill, as the data have pointed out, they don’t need an extra receiver. They need a more efficient spiker.
