The Italian League (Lega Pallavolo Serie A), who’s in charge of the club competitions in the country, decided that the final of the 2020 Del Monte® Supercoppa, scheduled for Friday 25 September, won’t be played at the beautiful monument – the Verona Arena (Arena di Verona).

A decision to give up on playing the gold medal match in an outdoor venue was made because of the safety reasons for the players. The Italian League took into account what recently happened in Vicenza during the women’s Super Cup at the city square when humidity in the evening created dangerous conditions on the court for the play.

The Italian men’s Super Cup for this season has started yesterday with the first legs of the semifinals.
