Brazilian Rosamaria Montibeller scored 20 points for Casalmaggiore, while American Kara Bajema made 70 % reception (50 % perfect).

Led by the Pole Magdalena Stysiak (33 points), Savino Del Bene Scandicci bounced back from 1-2 in sets against the home side of Zanetti Bergamo, for which Croatian Katarina Luketić put down 18 points.

Newcomers Delta Despar Trentino victoriously debuted in the top division (3-0 vs. Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia). Bosca S.Bernardo Cuneo stunned Il Bisonte Firenze (3-1).
