The hosts, who closed the regular season in 4th place, prevailed over rivals (5th-seed) in the match that was balanced for most of its course: 3-1 (25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 25-22).
Turkish youngster Adis Lagumdžija was the top scorer on the winning side with 27 points. Thomas Beretta set up 5 blocks, the Czech Donovan Džavoronok served 4 aces, while Gianluca Galassi made 77 % attack (10/13). The Frenchman Thibault Rossard and American Torey James DeFalco notched 19 points apiece for Vibo.
