Aleksandar Atanasijević scored 34 points for the winning side, and got many compliments from head coach Slobodan Kovač:
“This match was a replica of the last one in Perugia with one diffrence. Then it was Mitić who shined, now it was Atanasijević. But all the players deserves praise, especially because of the wall defense which they presented. I am proud of them because they didn’t surrender in the fourth set” stated Kovač.
Dragan Stanković, middle blocker of Lube, was short after the match:
“After Champions League we lost another trophy. We just ran into team which plays excellent volleyball and is in the very good form.”
