Il Bisonte Firenze is thrilled to announce the return of veteran setter Marta Bechis. Previously with the team from January 2016 to January 2018, Bechis will rejoin for a few months to support the squad under coach Bendandi. The 34-year-old, set to move to the new American professional league, LOVB, in January 2025, will contribute until the end of October. Her experience and skills will aid Il Bisonte during this period, helping ease the recovery of fellow players Beatrice Agrifoglio and Ilaria Battistoni. Bechis, who played a key role in the team’s historic playoff qualification in 2017, will wear jersey number 33 upon her return.
Career Overview: Born in Turin on September 4, 1989, Bechis began her career with 2D Lingotto Volley before moving to Novara in 2006. Over the years, she has played for various top clubs including Urbino, Conegliano, and Caserta, and has also gained international experience in Poland. Her return to Il Bisonte is seen as a valuable boost before her transition to Atlanta in the American league.
