According to Gian Luca Pasini from gazzetta.it, Rebecchi Nordmeccanica Piacenza (women’s team) and Sir Safety Perugia (men’s team) will apply for Champions League wild card! Two Italian giants are both planning to create powerful teams for the next season, so CEV may seriously consider inviting them to the best European competition.
Recall that Piacenza and Perugia got eliminated in the semi-finals of Serie A Playoffs in the previous season.
