ITA M: Piacenza presents Giuliani and extends with setter and opposite

Good days are in front LPR Volley Piacenza after it almost shut down at the end of previous season. The Italian team has presented its new coach.

Alberto Giuliani has officially joined Piacenza as he was presented at a press conference attended by club fans as well. Recall, Giuliani accepted the offer of Piacenza ten days ago. Last four season he was on the helm of Cucine Lube Banca Marche Treia during which he won two national titles.

In previous days, Piacenza was also busy with extending contracts.

After sealing new deals with Zlatanov, Papi, Tencati, Kohút and signing Manià, Coscione, Patriarca and Veres, Serie A1 team renewed contracts with the setter and receiver/opposite.

For the Portuguese setter Miguel Tavares Rodrigues the season 2015/2016 will be his second in Italy. After the departure of Valerio Vermiglio from Piacenza at the half of last season has had the task of leading the team, scoring 33 points in 25 games, including 18 in the attack, 9 aces and 6 blocks.

For receiver who last season played as opposite, Thijs Ter Horst, this will be the sixth consecutive season spent in Italy. In five seasons Ter Horst has played 101 matches, grounding 612 points – 515 in the attack, 28 aces and 69 blocks.
