ITA M: “Azzurri” start preparations for World League and Olympic Games

Italian National team began preparations for the upcoming obligations in 2016.

Italy’s NT has officially started to prepare for the 2016 FIVB World League and then for even greater event – Olympic Games. Italy’s head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini summoned 13 players for the first gathering which will work under supervision of his assistants in Cavalese. Several other players will join the second gathering at the end of playoffs in Serie A1.

Players called up for the first gathering:

Enrico Cester (Lube), Matteo Piano (Modena), Simone Anzani (Verona), Davide Candellaro and Michele Fedrizzi (Molfetta), Gabriele Nelli (Trentino), Daniele Sottile and Gabriele Maruotti (Latina), Riccardo Sbertoli (Milano), Iacopo Botto (Monza), Fabio Balaso (Padova), Giacomo Raffaelli (Siena/Divison 2), Fabio Ricci (Romagna).
