ITA M: Vibo Valentia embrace third Brazilian – Olympic silver medalist

Serie A1 newcomers Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia are filling their roster for the next season with more and more South Americans.

After signing with Carlos Eduardo Barreto Silva ’Kadu’ and Deivid Costa, Vibo Valentia hired third Brazilian – Thiago Alves.

Thiago is 29-year-old receiver and also one-time Olympic silver medalist (London 2012). He took FIVB World League and South American Championship two times each with Brazil NT.

On a club level, he claimed trophy in Brazilian Championship five times (with three different clubs) and in Japanese Championship one time.

Thiago came to Italian team from Sesi-SP.
