“Once we are all on the plane to Rio, the Olympics and sporting atmosphere will be on another level. We’re all delighted. Our team is really fired up, because you get a different feeling a different buzz. We are working hard. We know it’s going to be really tough but If we want to go far in the tournament we have to play and win against some of the best teams and that’s what we will try to do. Qualifying for Rio was a big thing for us.”

“Our expectations are quite high to be honest there’s no point in hiding on this stage. We are going to try to win the medal. We’re all thrilled, but also very focused because we know how hard it will be. I’m very proud because it’s been my dream since I was a kid. I’ve been lucky enough to be part of this group and win a lot at club level, but at a national level I’ve never won anything. So it’s my dream to do that and we hope to finish on a high place,” says Juantorena.
