Ze Roberto’s side is favorite number 1 to win this competition again. They are playing at home court in front of their fans and that’s why Brazil have the pole position in this race.

If they win the gold again, it will be the third consecutive gold medal at the Olympic Games, as they were the best in Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

But, there are several teams that want to dethrone the Brazilian girls. USA and Russia are also main contenders for the Olympic gold, while China, Serbia, Italy, Japan and Netherlands will lurk from behind.
