ITA W: Scandicci has made it official – Dominican star De la Cruz signs!

The Italian Women’s Volleyball League Serie A1 club Savino Del Bene Scandicci got used its fans to bringing at least one superstar in each summer transfer window. So it was now!

The motor fuel of the National team of the Dominican Republic, Bethania De la Cruz, has officially joined Scandicci for the 2017/18, the club announced.

A 30-year-old receiver/opposite came to Scandicci from the Russian side Dinamo Moscow, bringing the huge amount of experience to the team that wants to establish itself as a title contender in Serie A1.

During her professional career on a club level, De la Cruz has grabbed the Japanese national title and Cup once, Puerto Rican national title once, and the most important gold medal of all – in the 2015 CEV Champions League – with Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul, Turkey.

With the national team, De la Cruz won the Pan-American Cup twice. Among other individual awards, she was named Best Attacker of the Pan-American Cup once and the MVP of the Pan-American Cup twice and NORCECA Championship once.
