ITA M: Trentino send last season’s backup setter to Monza

The Italian Men’s volleyball Serie A1 side Diatec Trentino decided to temporarily part ways with a setter.

After they hired Pierpaolo Partenio from Exprivia Molfetta and extended with Simone Giannelli, Trentino sent last season’s backup setter Alessandro Blasi to train with Serie A1 rivals Gi Group Monza.

For now, a 25-year-old athlete will only fill in the gap that was made by the absence of American Kawika Shoji and Canadian Brett Walsh, who are currently engaged with their respective national teams.

He’s playing for Monza only in preseason tournaments because Shoji and Walsh are not available but he’s not going to sign with Monza
