Fan dies in stands in Civitanova

All favorites justified this role in Round 2 of the Serie A1 but one game has not been held due to a sad event. A fan died in the stands of „Eurosole Forum“ during a warmup before Cucine Lube Civitanova vs. Bunge Ravenna match. The encounter was postponed „for moral reasons and public order“, as Lube published on their website, to a date that is yet to be determined.

In a derby of Round 2, Sir Safety Conad Perugia (the Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević scored 17 points) ran over hosts Calzedonia Verona (the Slovenian Alen Pajenk scored 12 points) 3-0, while Azimut Modena (the Slovenian Tine Urnaut scored 14 points) did the same to Biosì Indexa Sora (Edoardo Caneschi scored 11 points). Both Perugia and Modena have 2-0.

Revivre Milano have the same record after they downed Gi Group Monza in four sets, partially 25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21. The Dutch opposite Nimir Abdel-Aziz notched 18 points, including 6 aces! The German international Simon Hirsch made 15 points for Monza.

Diatec Trentino claimed a premiere win in the national championship. The side coached by Angelo Lorenzetti outplayed Kioene Padova on the road by a 3-1 thanks to 20 points from Filippo Lanza. Ex-Trentino member Gabriele Nelli highlighted 24 for Padova.
