Ziraat downed Fenerbahçe in a highly intense match, inflicting a third defeat in a row to the rivals, 3-2 (25-19, 25-27, 26-24, 26-28, 15-12). Once again, Dawid Konarski showed the MVP potential, and if he continues to make such an outstanding display as before, this award will not slip out of his hands. The Pole topped Ziraat with 31 points and 62% attack. Metin Toy made 19 points for Fenerbahçe.
Two teams are just behind Ziraat with a 5-1 record: Arkas Spor, who defeated Beşiktaş, and İstanbul BBSK, who beat newcomers TKD Kuzey Enerji Gümüşhane Torul Gençlik in straight sets thanks to 12 points from Emre Şenol.
The titleholders Halkbank got a 4-2 record after routing Jeopark Kula Belediye in four sets. The Serbian – Cuban duo Nemanja Petrić and Fernando Hernández collected 18 points apiece for the winners who triumphed in the second consecutive match. The Brazilian Luan Weber scored 19 for Jeopark.
