Osaka edged out a nail-biting five-set match on Saturday (3-2), with standout performances from Ameze Miyabe (25 points) and Mizuki Tanaka (18 points). The momentum carried into Sunday as Osaka secured a 3-1 win, led by Kotona Hayashi’s 21-point haul.
The wins bolster Osaka’s top-ranking position (35-7), while Red Rockets (30-14) hold firm in second place as the playoffs loom.
Meanwhile, Hisamitsu Springs jumped to third after sweeping Aranmare Yamagata twice. Sylvia Nwakalor of Toray made headlines too, becoming the first SV.League player to reach 1,000 points this season.
