The women’s Daido Life SV.League continued this weekend with three teams — NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki, Victorina Himeji, and Kurobe Aqua Fairies — keeping their unbeaten streaks alive after the second-leg matches.
NEC Red Rockets extended their winning run to four after sweeping Gunma Green Wings twice. Outside hitter Giovanna Day led the charge with 22 points on Saturday and 16 on Sunday, helping NEC stay on top of the standings with 12 points from a perfect 4-0 record.
Close behind, Victorina Himeji also collected maximum points, beating Toray Arrows Shiga in both encounters. Italian opposite Camilla Mingardi exploded with 34 points in the first match, while Airi Miyabe guided the team in the second with 17 points. Himeji now sit in second place with 11 points.
Meanwhile, Kurobe Aqua Fairies battled through two thrilling five-set victories over Saitama Ageo Medics. Rimi Kaneda shone with 27 points in the first game, and Aoi Hata helped secure Sunday’s win. With that, Kurobe hold third place on 4-0 and 10 points.
Elsewhere, Denso Airybees and Astemo Rivale traded wins, both now sitting at 3-1. PFU BlueCats climbed to sixth after sweeping Okayama Seagulls, who remain winless. Defending champions Osaka Marvelous earned their first two victories over Aranmare Yamagata, while Queenseis Kariya and Hisamitsu Springs Saga split their weekend series.
