By beating Suntory Sunbirds 3-1 (14-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-21) in a direct duel for the Final Six spot, the No.6 JTEKT Stings made a four-point gap compared to the seventh-placed Sakai Blazers, and which is even more important a two-win advantage. A 17-year-old Yuji Nishida topped the winning side today with 28 points. The Cuban Yadrian Escobar scored 22 for the fifth-placed Sunbirds, who are tied with the Stings in the win-loss ration but have three points more.

Despite the fact both sides secured the F6 spot, Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza and JT Thunders played a super-exciting game which ended with the win of Trefuerza. Imports on each side made an impressive display. The Croatan Igor Omrčen delivered 42 points for the winners, while Australian Thomas Edgar tallied one point more!

Three more rounds remained in the regular stage, with four teams already punching their Final Six tickets: Panasonic Panthers, Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza, Toray Arrows and JT Thunders.
