KOR: Slovenian Gasparini helps Jumbos sweep KEPCO, huge blocking display by local hero returns Hyundai at the top

Incheon Korean Air Jambos are definitely back on the winning track in the Korean Men’s Volleyball Championship – V-League.

The Jumbos ended a two-game losing streak as they swept traveling side Suwon Korea Electric Power Corporation Vixtorm, partially 25-19, 25-23, 25-10. Thus, the Jumbos reached a 4-4 record, while KEPCO went on 3-5, extending their negative run to two games. The Slovenian Mitja Gasparini topped the winners with 19 points while Jin Seong-Tae contributed with 3 kill blocks.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate defended the honor of the teams from the city of Suwon, today, after beating Gimcheon Korea Expressway Corporation Hi-pass in four sets to return to the top spot in the rankings in the Women’s V-League. The Ameican Elizabeth Campbell, the best scorer of Hyundai this season, was overshadowed by the local star Yang Hyo-Jin who made 22 points, including 7 aces! The Serbian Ivana Nešović scored 17 points for Hi-pass, whose 3-game run has been interrupted in the „Suwon Gymnasium“.
