In the game for fifth place Puerto Rico defeated the Dominican Republic 3-2 (23-25, 25-14, 21-25, 25-23, 15-6).
Cuba, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico have secured a place in the Continental Olympic qualifiers. Recall, the United States have already qualified for the Olympic Games.
