After beating the second seed Levski Sofia in Game 3 of the 2018/19 National Volleyball League – Women playoff finals by a 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-18, 25-15) and closing the series without suffering a single loss, No.1 seed Maritza Plovdiv became the Bulgarian champions for the fifth straight year.

Maritza’s domination over the national league is incredible. The victory in a decisive game for this season’s title was the 78th consecutive victory of the Plovdiv based side in the championship. It means that Maritza did not suffer a single defeat in the league for more than three years! This season, they lost only two sets.

The American Alexandra Holston top-scored for Maritza in Game 3 of the playoff finals with 17 points which was as much Monika Krasteva poured in for Levski.
