IBB Polonia London crowned an amazing season in the 2018/19 Super League by lifting the trophy, which they mathematically earned two weeks ago, at the end of the match of the last round against Sheffield Hallam that was held this Sunday (3-1). The team from an English capital claimed the sixth championship title in the club history and did it after a season in which they did not suffer a single defeat, including First Half of Season and Top 5 (24-0 record).

IBB Polonia came into spotlight month and a half ago whey they manage to persuade legendary Brazilian player Gilberto Filho „Giba“ (one-time Olympic, three-time FIVB World Championship and eight-time FIVB World League winner) to return to playing volleyball professionally after five years.
Last season’s titleholders Team Northumbria did not even participate in the 2019/19 Super League due to budget cuts of the Northumbria University, to which both Men’s and Women’s senior teams belong, to elite sport.
As for the Women’s Super League, Tendring VC Ladies secured their trophy before IBB London did in the Men’s competition. The team based in a small town of Frinton-on-Sea finished the Top 5 with only one loss (15-1) and seven points more than the nearest followers and also reigning champions Durham Palatinates.
This is the first-ever national title for Tendring in the club history.
