It took an entire decade for some team to dethrone VK Prostějov in the Czech Republic! That team is VK UP Olomouc who swept the 2018/19 UNIQA Extraliga ženy final series with the reigning champions by a 3-0. Furthermore, Olomouc did not lose a single game in three rounds of playoffs (9-0), putting a crown an astonishing regular season campaign (18-0 and 53 points) that was maintained in the Top 4 (23-1, 68 points) as well. This gave Olomouc a top seed for the playoffs, while Prostějov took a third seed.

As for a decisive game of the playoff finals, Olomouc prevailed in straight sets, partially 25-18, 25-21, 25-14, thanks to 20 points from an 18-year-old outside hitter Gabriela Orvošová. Marie Toufarová was the only double-digit player in Prostějov with 11 points.

2018/19 UNIQA Extraliga ženy playoff finals – Game 3:

(1) VK UP Olomouc – (2) VK Prostějov 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-14), series 3-0
