Azerbaijani bomber Jana Kulan extinguished all hopes of Kurobe Aqua Fairies that they can record a first win in the 2019/20 V.League Division 1 Women regular season. She put down 35 points, including 5 aces, helping vice-champions Toray Arrows break a two-game losing streak: 3-1 (27-25, 21-25, 25-21, 28-26). There was another player with 30+ output in the scoresheet today, the American import Simone Lee. She scored 31 for the losing side.

By beating Ageo Medics in four sets, Toyota Auto Body Queenseis remained the best-ranked team, looking at both conferences, with 5-0 and 15 points. Denso Airybees top the Premier Conference with 3-0 and 9 points after they downed Hitachi Rivale by a 3-1.
