Panasonic Panthers have fallen to Suntory Sunbirds in Round 6 of the 2019/20 V.League Division 1 Men regular season which was their first defeat in the competition: 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 26-28, 25-18). Russian superstar Dimitriy Muserskiy was the most deserving player for ending Panthers’ four-game unbeaten record. He tallied 35 points (56 hits). Issei Otake scored 17 points for the losing side.
Thanks to 37 points from Australian Thomas Edgar, JT Thunders Hiroshima downed Wolf Dogs Nagoya in four sets and remained at the top of the charts with 5-1 and 15 points. JTEKT Stings are Thunders’ closest followers, and the only undefeated side (5-0), with 15 points as well.
