Suntory Sunbirds have reached the top 4 in the 2019/20 V.League Division 1 Men regular season charts thanks to, who else, but Russian giant Dmitriy Muserskiy. He chipped in with 38 points in the four-set victory over Toray Arrows: 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19). Furthermore, an experienced opposite hitter (middle blocker when he defends the colors of Russian National Team) had an impressive 71.1% attack success rate (32/45), helping the Sunbirds record fourth success in a row. The Frenchman Antonin Rouzier scored 22 points for Toray.

There are no more undefeated teams in the competition after this round. Panasonic Panthers ended a seven-game winning streak of JTEKT Stings that lasted from the very start of the regular season. Led by Kunihiro Shimizu (14 points), the Panthers dominated rivals in the big match: 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-19). The 19-year-old rising star of the Japanese volleyball Yuji Nishida put down 15 points for the losing side who fell to the second place in the charts, leaving No.1 to the Panthers with both sides having 7-1 and 21 points.
