Lokomotiv
Lokomotiv outplayed Dinamo Moscow on the road in Round 7 in the big match of the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch regular season: 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 37-35, 25-15). The third set, that went into the favor of the team from Novosibirsk, turned out to be crucial. The rollercoaster ride that lasted for 45 minutes (!) ended when Lokomotiv won the 72nd point of the set. It totally broke the spirit of Dinamo Moscow’s players. Sergey Savin and Konstantin Bakun led Lokomotiv to a win and taking over the top spot (6-1; 18 points) in the standings from today’s rivals with 16 points apiece. Belgian Sam Deroo also scored 16 points but for the team from the Russian who had 5-0 before suffering the second defeat in three days.
Fakel took advantage of Dinamo Moscow’s loss to squeeze them out to third place in the charts. The team from Novy Urengoy swept Enisey at home: 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 27-25). Hungarian opposite hitter Krisztián Pádár top-scored for Fakel with 15 points. Kirill Klets made 18 points for Enisey.
Thanks to the fact that they had as many as five players in double digits, led by Fedor Voronkov (15 points), Zenit-Kazan outplayed Dinamo-LO in four sets. Aleksey Samoylenko was impressive in the block (6 kill blocks). This win pushed multiple champions from the ninth to the seventh place in the charts.
