Compared to the team that won the CEV European Championship title last year, the biggest difference in the roster is the absence of the middle blocker Aleksandar Okolić due to injury. Also, after seven years, the setter Mihajlo Mitić has returned to the squad. Kovač decided to take as many as 3 opposite hitters to the tournament in the German capital.

The Serbia National Team list:

Setters: Nikola Joković, Mihajlo Mitić.

Opposite hitters: Aleksandar Atanasijević, Dražen Luburić, Božidar Vučićević.

Liberos: Neven Majstorović, Nikola Peković.

Middle blockers: Srećko Lisinac, Marko Podraščanin, Petar Krsmanović.

Outside hitters: Nemanja Petrić, Uroš Kovačević, Marko Ivović, Mihajlo Stanković.

Božidar Vučićević might be next Ivan Miljković, keep an eye on him. Marko Podraščanin will probably leave Serbian team after Olympics, as he told in interview. Squad is good despite lack of Okolič.
