OK Calcit Kamnik beat Nova KBM Branik Maribor in the all-Slovenian final of the regional MEVZA League, whose Final 4 was held in Nova Gorica (Slovenia), after coming back from a 2-set deficit: 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23, 15-9). For them, this was the 3rd laureate in the competition after 2014 and 2016. Today’s victory was Calcit’s revenge on Branik for losing the dramatic finale of the national Cup also played in 5 sets.
Serbian Olivera Brulec Kostić shone for the winners in the final with 24 points. Maja Košenina scored 19 points for Branik.
