The final battle of the 2019/20 Český pohár ženy, whose Final 4 was held in Brno, offered an attractive and exciting spectacle, whose winners had to be decided in the tie-break.
VK UP Olomouc won the trophy and defended their triumph last year, beating surprising finalists PVK Olymp Praha (currently 6th placed in the national championship and a team that eliminated last year’s silver medalists VK Prostějov in the semifinals). Olomouc made an outstanding turnaround in the match after trailing by 2-0 in sets and thanks to Erica Hangley who entered the court and made a positive influence on the game which pushed Olomouc to the trophy.
Ukrainian outside hitter from the losing side, Karyna Denysova, was named MVP of the Final 4.
