The Canadian Volleyball Federation (Volleyball Canada) announced that Shannon Winzer will be the new head coach of the women’s national team. She took over the post after serving as the NextGen/senior team (youth national team of Canada) assistant coach for the last two years.

Winzer replaced Tom Black, who stepped down from the head coach position due to family reasons. She used to command Australia’s Women’s National Team, being named Volleyball Australia’s National Coach of the Year for 2016/17.
