A former US National Team member Lauren Gibbemeyer will continue her career in the ranks of the one-time Swedish club champions Hylte/Halmstad. Although she was to play in the new US Pro League in 2021, a 32-year-old middle blocker remained in Europe where she has been playing in the last eight years.

A year ago, Gibbemeyer retired from the national team with which she won the FIVB World Grand Prix and FIVB Volleyball Nations League one-time each and Pan-American Cup two times. Last season, she wore the jersey of Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı VitrA.
