The Panasonic Panthers are again the leaders of the 2020/21 Japanese Men’s V.League Division1 regular season. In the 18th round, they bounced back from trailing 2-1 in sets against the reigning champions JTEKT Stings and squeezed the Wolfdogs Nagoya (who also won today) down to second place in the charts. The Pole Michał Kubiak top-scored the Panthers, who noted the 4th successive victory, with 20 points, making 73.1 % reception.
The major title contenders JT Thunders are in truly poor shape at the moment as they suffered the 5th defeat in the last 6 games. Today, they have fallen to the Toray Arrows in 5 sets. Hungarian Krisztián Pádár dominated the match, pouring in 37 points on the winning side. However, because of the other result, the JT Thunders didn’t leave the top 4 in the charts.
