The Polish superstar Bartosz Kurek helped the Wolfdogs Nagoya return to the top of the 2020/21 Japanese Men’s V.League Division1 regular season. He put down 40 points in his team’s win over the reigning champions JTEKT Stings of 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-19).
Thus, the Wolfdogs took over the leadership in the charts from the Panasonic Panthers, having one point more (38 vs 37). As for the Stings, they suffered the fourth defeat in a row and remained fourth-placed but with as many as 7 points fewer than third-placed Suntory Sunbirds (34 vs 27).
