The 62-year-old Croatian expert has a rich playing and coaching career. As a player, he competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, where he won 5th place with the Yugoslavia national team, he was member of Mladost Zagreb (1979-1986) and several teams in Italy and France. As a coach, he spent virtually his entire career in France, where he worked for 25 years with mostly men’s teams. He also spent 4 seasons at the helm of the women’s volleyball team in the French A league. He spent 19 seasons in Nice, where he was at the helm of the Nice Volley Ball team competing in the French “Ligue A”. During his coaching career he also coached Arago de Sete V.B. (2019) and Le Cannet Rocheville (2007-2011) in the women’s “Ligue A”. He spent last season in the French Elite Division as head coach of AS Monaco V.B.
ACH Volley Ljubljana also announced the first reinforcement in the team, after two seasons of playing in the Italy, Slovenia national team member Jani Kovačič is returning to Ljubljana. New reinforcement on libero position already spent three years at ACH Volley Ljubljana (2016-2019). As a member of the national team in 2019 EuroVolley, he won 2nd place and was awarded as the best libero of the competition.
