CAVB W: Egypt claim fifth consecutive title at Women’s Junior African Championship

Egypt claimed their fifth consecutive Women's Junior African Championship on Friday with a straight-sets victory over Algeria on the third and final day. Egypt won two matches against Nigeria. WorldofVolley brings you the latest volleyball news.

Egypt also took the title in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010.

The final saw the more experienced Egyptians dominate attack, which they combined with a sturdy defence.

Egypt won two matches against hosts Nigeria before beating Algeria.

Algeria came second (1-1) and Nigeria third (0-2), but the three teams secured spots at the FIVB Women’s Junior World Championship to be held in the Czech Republic in June.
