All four teams are qualified to the FIVB Women’s U-20 World Championship to be played in Czech Republic.
The solid attacks of Danna Escobar made the difference in the first set when the Dominicans were unable to stop the opposite player of the South American side.
In the second set, Colombia dominated from start to finish with strategic serves and powerful blocking.
The Dominicans experienced problems with their reception during the third set and the match finished with a block by Ivonne Montano on Dominican Angelica Hinojosa.
Diana Arrechea was the top scorer of Colombia with 14 points, followed by Melissa Rangel and Escobar with 13 and 12 respectively. Pamela Soriano finished with 12 for the defeated team and Galia Gonzalez had 10.
