“I was really happy with our poise tonight. Today when we were down really big in that second set and were able to come back, I think that was really important for us. Obviously the serve and pass game made the difference“, he said after the match vs. Argentina.

USA captain Matt Anderson“We played better tonight. We played more as a team and complemented each other in different aspects of the game. Obviously our serving was a lot better tonight, which put pressure on them as opposed to them putting pressure on us last night“.

Argentina captain Luciano De Cecco said the reception of his team was bad: “The USA served very well and that made our reception difficult. It was a good victory for the USA. They played better“.

On the other hand, Argentina coach Javier Weber emphasized good serve from the opponent:  “The service of the USA was better than yesterday and our reception was no good. What is important right now at this moment is to play better each day. Yesterday, we played well the whole match. Today, only in the first two sets“.
